Gubernur Babel, Erzaldi Rosman mengatakan pertemuan ini penting untuk mengajak semua pihak, agar sama-sama membantu agar generasi muda tidak terjerumus pada perilaku menyimpang baik secara sosial kemasyarakatan maupun hukum.
Menurutnya, ini akan menjadi keresahan bila tidak diantisipasi. Bahkan, dirinya sudah menerima laporan berupa sms terkait aktivitas LGBT di Babel.
Dirinya, meminta tokoh agama, ustad dalam menyiarkan agama untuk menyampaikan bahwa hal ini merupakan sesuatu yang salah dan dilarang dalam agama.
“Saya mendapat sms dan saya pikir ini memang harus kita sikapi bersama dan ini tidak gampang. Kita minta dorongan dari ulama dan masyarakat, harus tetap sesuai aturan yang berlaku. Kita enggak bisa menghukum LGBT dengan menangkapnya. Tapi ada cara lainnya, cari pasalnya. Seperti orang mabuk
beli barangnya dimana ada izin dak warung itu,” kata Erzaldi dalam forum tersebut.
