Pembantaian 31 Pekerja Diduga karena Memfoto HUT OPM

MUSTANIR.COM, JAYAPURA – Sebanyak 31 pekerja di Kali Yigi dan Kali Aurak Distrik Yigi Kabupaten Nduga tewas dibantai Kelompok Kriminal Separatis Bersenjata (KKSB) atau Organisasi Papua Merdeka (OPM). Pembantaian ke 31 orang pekerja jembatan yang merupakan buruh bangunan dari PT Istaka Karya ini diduga akibat salah satu pekerja memfoto kegiatan hari ulang tahun (HUT) OPM pada hari Sabtu 1 Desember 2018 lalu.
Berdasarkan informasi yang diterima SINDOnews, akibat pengambilan foto upacara HUT OPM, tersebut membuat kelompok KKSB marah dan membantai para-para korban tersebut.
Kabid Humas Polda Papua Kombes Pol Ahmad Musthofa Kamal menjelaskan, berdasarkan laporan dari lapangan sebanyak 24 orang pekerja dari PT Istaka Karya dibunuh pada hari Sabtu (1/12/2018). Sedangkan delapan lainnya yang sempat menyelamatkan diri dan bersembunyi di salah satu rumah anggota DPRD setempat. Namun mereka pun dan dibunuh pada hari Minggu (2/12/2018) setelah dijemput oleh anggota OPM.
“Laporan terakhir total semua korban adalah 31 orang, 24 dibunuh pada hari pertama, delapan orang lainnya sempat lolos dan sembunyi di rumah anggota dewan, tapi keesokan harinya mereka dijemput dan dibunuh. Satu orang lagi masih hilang,” jelas Kamal. []
