Rommy Seret Khofifah dan Pimpinan Ponpes
MUSTANIR.net – Ketua Umum Partai Persatuan Pembangunan atau PPP, M. Romahurmuziy alias Rommy, mengaku hanya membantu mempromosikan orang yang dianggap layak menjadi Kepala Kantor Wilayah Jawa Timur.
Menurut Rommy, itu hanya sekedar menyampaikan aspirasi. Terlebih, Haris Hasanuddin sebelumnya direkomedasikan salah satunya oleh Gubernur Jawa Timur, Khofifah Indar Parawansa.
“Contoh saudara Haris Hasanuddin. Memang dari awal, saya menerima aspirasi itu dari ulama seorang Kiai, Kiai Asep Saifuddin Halim. Dia seorang pimpinan pondok pesantren besar di sana, dan kemudian Ibu Khofifah Indar Parawangsa, misalnya. Beliau gubernur terpilih, yang jelas-jelas mengatakan, ‘Mas Rommy, percayalah dengan Haris, karena Haris ini orang yang pekerjaannya bagus’,” kata Rommy, seraya menirukan pernyataan Khofifah di kantor KPK, Jl. Kuningan Persada, Jakarta Selatan, Jumat (22/3).
Rommy melanjutkan ceritanya bahwa sebelumnya juga, Khofifah mengatakan telah melihat kinerja Haris. Karena itu, tegas Rommy, ia meneruskan aspirasi tersebut kepada pemilik kewenangan di Kementerian Agama.
“Sebagai gubernur terpilih, waktu itu beliau mengatakan, ‘kalau Mas Haris, saya sudah kenal kinerjanya, sehingga ke depan sinergi dengan Pemprov itu lebih baik’. Nah, misalnya meneruskan aspirasi itu dosa, terus kita ini mengetahui kondisi seseorang dari siapa?” kata Rommy.
Kendati demikian, lanjut Rommy, dalam promosi jabatan ini tetap harus mengikuti proses seleksi sesuai ketentuan yang sudah ditetapkan. Ia mengatakan, tak ada intervensi darinya dalam merekomendasikan seseorang.
“Proses seleksinya itu tidak sama sekali saya intervensi, proses seleksinya itu dilakukan sebuah panitia seleksi yang sangat profesional. Semuanya adalah guru-guru besar, dari lingkungan Universitas Islam Negeri se-Indonesia,” kata Rommy.
Pada perkara ini, Rommy dijerat sebagai penerima suap dengan status anggota DPR. Sedangkan diduga sebagai pemberi, yaitu Kepala Kantor Kemenag Kabupaten Gresik, Muhammad Muafaq Wirahadi dan Kepala Kantor Wilayah Kemenag Provinsi Jawa Timur, Haris Hasanuddin. []
