Fadli Zon: Status Tersangka Habib Bahar Terlalu Dipaksakan

MUSTANIR.COM, Jakarta – Wakil Ketua Umum Partai Gerindra, Fadli Zon angkat bicara soal status hukum yang dikenakan kepada penceramah Habib Bahar bin Smith. Fadli menilai pasal-pasal yang menjerat Habib Bahar cenderung dipaksakan.
Hal itu disampaikan Fadli melalui akun twitter milik pribadinya @fadlizon yang diunggah pada hari ini, Minggu (9/12/2018) pukul 06.20 WIB.
Awalnya, seorang netizen dengan akun Twitter @maspiyuuu menuliskan cuitan dengan mentautkan berita bahwa Habib Bahar bin Smith dijerat Undang-undang Etnis. Kemudian, akun @maspiyuuu menyebut bahwa pasal yang dikenakan kepada Habib Bahar bin Smith tersebut terlalu dipaksakan.
Kemudian Fadli pun menanggapi cuitan tersebut. Melalui akun @fadlizon menyebut penerapan pasal-pasal yang dipaksakan ini menjurus pada abuse of power.
Bahkan ia menilai pemerintahan Presiden Joko Widodo atau Jokowi saat ini akan ditertawakan dunia, lantaran mengaku demokrasi namun takut dikritik.
“Penerapan pasal2 yg dipaksakan ini menjurus pd abuse of power. Ini ironi di era demokrasi. Rezim ini akan ditertawakan dunia, mengaku demokrasi tp takut dikritik. Lalu yg kritik n beda pendapat diancam bui. Sdgkan klu kritik n hina lawan politik dibiarkan. Kezaliman yg sempurna,” ujar Fadli Zon lewat akun Twitter @fadlizon.
Diketahui, polisi telah menetapkan Habib Bahar bin Smith sebagai tersangka kasus dugaan ujaran kebencian terhadap Presiden Jokowi. Penetapan tersangka usai Habib Bahar diperiksa hingga 11 jam lamanya di Bareskrim Mabes Polri, Kamis (6/12/2018).
Bahar bin Smith diduga melanggar Pasal 16 ayat 4 huruf (a) ke-2 Undang-Undang (UU) Nomor 40 Tahun 2018 tentang Penghapusan Diskriminasi Ras dan Etnis dan atau Pasal 28 ayat (2) Undang-Undang Nomor 19 Tahun 2016 tentang Perubahan Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2008 tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (ITE). []
