Hampir Lima Tahun Berkuasa Jokowi Dianggap Tak Mampu, Amerika Bantu Usut Kasus Novel
MUSTANIR.net – Kasus teror air keras yang menimpa penyidik Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi, Novel Baswedan, turut disoroti lembaga internasional. Hingga dua tahun lamanya kasus penyiraman air keras terhadap Novel tidak juga terungkap.
Akhirnya, wadah pegawai lembaga antirasuah itu mendapat bantuan dari Tim Amnesty International untuk wilayah Asia Pasifik.
“Pada hari ini Wadah Pegawai KPK kedatangan tamu dari Amerika Serikat, yakni Manager Tim Advokasi Amnesty International untuk wilayah Asia Pasifik yang datang untuk membantu KPK dalam rangka melakukan internasionalisasi atas kasus Novel Bawedan yang sampai saat ini belum juga terungkap siapa pelakunya,” kata Ketua Wadah Pegawai KPK, Yudi Purnomo Harahap di kantor KPK, Jalan Kuningan Persada, Jakarta Selatan, Jumat, 26 April 2019.
Menurut Yudi, sangat penting bantuan internasional ini dalam mengusut kasus penyerangan terhadap pegawai KPK. Apalagi sejauh ini tim gabungan yang dibentuk oleh Kapolri Jenderal Tito Karnavian belum juga berhasil membuka tabir kasus tersebut.
“Oleh karena itu kami berterima kasih atas kedatangan tim Amnesty International dari Amerika yang bersedia untuk membantu kami menyuarakan kasus Novel Baswedan ke dunia internasional, dalam hal ini melalui Kongres Amerika dan juga ke Kedutaan Besar Amerika di Jakarta,” ujar Yudi.
Pada kesempatan tersebut, Manager Advokasi Amnesty International wilayah Asia Pasifik, Fransisco Bencosme, mengatakan sangat prihatin atas kasus yang menimpa penyidik Novel, yang hingga saat ini belum juga terang kasusnya. Karena itu pihaknya merasa terpanggil untuk memberikan bantuan menguak kasus teror tersebut.
“Bahwa kedatangan Amnesty International dari Amerika Serikat di sini adalah untuk membantu proses upaya penyelidikan independen terhadap kasus yang terjadi dan dialami oleh penyidik senior Novel Baswedan. Juga menjadi satu langkah politik yang sangat mengkhawatirkan ketika Jokowi berkuasa (hampir) selama lima tahun bahwa ada komitmen-komitmen untuk melaukan pengawasan di sektor antikorupsi yang tidak berhasil dilakukan,” ujar Fransisco.
Fransisco menambahkan, Amnesty International sebagai organisasi HAM Internasional sangat berkomitmen untuk mendorong upaya penegakan hukum yang terkait HAM, terutama yang selaras dengan pemberantasan korupsi. Untuk itu, kata Fransico, sangat perlu apabila pihaknya ikut terlibat dengan kasus ini sehingga para pelaku teror bisa segera ditangkap.
“Dalam hal ini kami punya akses terhadap pengambil kebijakan di Amerika Serikat melalui jalur kongres, jalur parlemen untuk mengarusutamakan apa yang terjadi dalam situasi yang dihadapi oleh KPK dan Novel Baswedan di Indonesia,” ujarnya.
Novel Baswedan yang turut hadir dalam pertemuan, juga sangat berterima kasih atas bantuan internasional yang peduli dengan kasus yang menimpanya. Novel berharap dengan bantuan ini membuat pemerintah Indonesia sadar betapa pentingnya penuntasan kasus-kasus teror yang menimpa para penegak hukum.
“Tentunya saya berharap ke depan dari parlemen Amerika dan negara-negara lain yang terkait bisa membantu untuk mendesak pemerintah Indonesia menjadikan prioritas pengungkapan serangan kepada orang-orang KPK yang selama ini betul-betul dilakukan. Karena membiarkan teror-teror yang terjadi itu sama saja kita setujui ke depan masih akan ada teror lagi yang akan dilakukan,” ujar Novel.
Novel menambahkan, sangat ironi apabila suatu negara ingin terbebas dari korupsi namun membiarkan perkara-perkara teror terhadap para pemberantas rasuah.
“Dengan desakan dari dunia internasional kami berharap ke depan pemerintah menjadikan ini menjadi hal-hal yang penting untuk jadikan prioritas dalam pengungkapannya. Saya juga menyampaikan terima kasih kepada Amnesty Internasional dalam hal ini Fransisco yang telah hadir dan memberikan dukungan pada KPK lewat wadah pegawai,” ucapnya. []
