Dilanda Perang 7 Tahun, Lebih dari 360 Ribu Orang Tewas di Suriah

MUSTANIR.COM, Beirut – Lebih dari 360 ribu orang telah tewas di Suriah akibat perang dalam tujuh tahun. Sepertiga dari korban merupakan warga sipil.

Dilansir AFP, Kamis (13/9/2018), The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights mencatat jumlah korban tewas mencapai 364.792 orang. Jumlah ini dihitung sejak protes terhadap Presiden Bashar al-Assad meletus pada Maret 2011.

Jumlah korban menunjukkan peningkatan sekitar 13.000 orang dalam enam bulan terakhir, menurut lembaga berbasis di Inggris ini. Mereka menggunakan sumber data dari pejuang, pejabat, dan staf medis.

Mereka mencatat warga sipil yang jadi terbunuh ada sebanyak 110.687 orang di mana termasuk ada 20.000 anak-anak dan 13.000 perempuan.

Sementara ada lebih dari 124.000 pejuang pro-pemerintah telah tewas. Sekitar setengah dari jumlah tersebut merupakan pasukan rezim dan sisanya bermacam-macam milisi Suriah dan asing yang setia kepada Assad. Di antara mereka ada 1.665 dari gerakan Hizbullah Lebanon.

Observatorium mencatat kematian 64.000 Islamis garis keras dan kombatan, termasuk dari kelompok ISIS dan mantan faksi afiliasi Al-Qaeda.

Lalu ada 64.800 pejuang lain dari pasukan lain, termasuk pemberontak non-jihadis, tentara yang membelot dan faksi Kurdi.

Observatorium mengatakan telah mengkonfirmasi kematian 250 orang lainnya tetapi identitas mereka tidak dapat disebutkan.

Saat ini Assad telah merebut kembali hampir dua pertiga wilayah Suriah dengan bantuan sekutu Rusia dan Iran.

Sedangkan bagian terbesar sisanya adalah wilayah timur laut yang dikontrol Kurdi.

Bagian terbesar dari wilayah yang dikuasai pemberontak yang tersisa terdiri dari Provinsi Idlib dan daerah sekitarnya, tempat sekitar tiga juta orang tinggal.

Pasukan Assad telah berkumpul di sekitar daerah itu selama berminggu-minggu sebelum terjadinya serangan yang dikhawatirkan dunia internasional.

Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa, kekuatan dunia, dan kelompok bantuan sama-sama telah memperingatkan serangan penuh terhadap Idlib dapat menciptakan bencana kemanusiaan.

Sekretaris Jenderal PBB Antonio Guterres pekan ini mendesak rezim Assad untuk mundur dan bagi pihak lainnya untuk menemukan solusi damai. Dia mengatakan Idlib “tidak boleh berubah menjadi pertumpahan darah”.
